  • Can anyone tell me anything about these apartments, I would like to book them for next year but have read lots of reviews about overbooking, I am also unable to find a booking agent for them.

  • I believe you can book them through Thomsons Holidays

  • Have you considered Sombrero Apartments in Los G?  Much older than Diamond but very clean and well managed and much nearer town.  http://www.apartmentslosgigantes.com/index.php?lang=en  (email: info@apartmentoselsombrero.com).

I have also heard some reports of overbooking at Diamond.  Maybe that's why Thomson has dropped them?

  • Can anybody explain how Diamond can rent apartments when they are not on the touristic legal list of complexes allowed to rent. Also why have they not been fined like individual owners renting, or am I being naive that they wont take Thompsons on

  • Maybe Thomson does not want them ?   If you go into " Diamond Apts Los Gigantes "  you will get a booking web page, but I think dates is the important thing as certain dates I tried just brought up a list of other local Hotels/apts.  Good luck

  • Thanks everyone for your help re the Diamond apartment saga, I have stayed at El Sombrero and will probably return there, I have also tried to go on the Diamond website and tried entering dates from January right up until July next year with no success so there must be something funny going on. :)

  • We stayed at the diamond apts in july, they are modern ,clean, beautiful views, lovely swimming pool area. The owner Julian and staff are very nice ,but he told me he wont have anything to d o with booking companies which he blames for the overbooking last january.(He said the worst month of his life).Thomsons had half of the appts, while the L.G. hotel was being modernised. i think this has finished. I recommend them to anyone for a cheap break. My advice is phone him directly between 10 and 4 ,he speaks good english. We booked 4 appts. and paid when we arrived. He gave me his mobile num. but ive lost it,but I think the landline is on this website. We hope to return in feb. for the carnival

  • Thanks Neil. The overbooking problem has put many people off (including me). Good to know it's not their fault and is now under control.
