Christmas Dinner at Barcelo Santiago

  • We tried to book our Christmas meal at the Arena Hotel but were told they are not taking bookings from non-residents until 23 December. The reason given was that they have to give priority to their resident guests. Previous years we've not had that problem so why a change of policy?

Last year we had a very good lunchtime meal on the big day at Pilgrims but felt like a change this time.

We didn't want to run the risk of missing out so have just booked our Christmas evening meal at the Barcelo Santiago hotel who have no such policy. Has anyone had a Christmas dinner there and how was it?

    Boadicea,
We quite fancy something like this for a change, are the Barcelo doing a buffet style meal or a la carte dinner service? How much are they charging? Thanks.

  • I've only just got access to a PC otherwise I'd have replied sooner.

We had a wonderful buffet dinner at the Barcelo Santiago hotel on Christmas Day. Good food, lots of choices (including roast turkey), cheerful staff and amazing night views of LG! My husband had second and third helpings!! Cost was about 75 Euros (can't remember exactly) for the two of us, drinks included in the set price. We booked about
    two weeks previously.

Will definitely be going there next year.

  • This is worth bearing in mind regarding other
places with a fixed meal and a fixed price
    (without drinks).

They don't advertise it like other places either.

I wonder if it is still for sale? (the Hotel not the Christmas Dinner).
