  • When I was in there a few days ago they were doing major changes and it looks to me they will be moving the machine to inside, maybe with a security system for use out of banking hours.

  • I understand that their cash machines at the bank branches are still in use, but they have taken away all the satellite positioned ones.  This seems to be due to the Amalgamation with Caixa Bank, and maybe cost cutting.

  • For the last 6 - 9 months Caja Canarias have been a shambles - direct debits not being paid - cheques being bounced for no good reason.

Only one bank teller and virtually always a long queue - i've said before you could spend most of your holiday in this bank waiting to be served.  Perhaps things will improve when take over / merger with Caixa Bank gets sorted

  • Caja Canaries has been taken over by Caixa, hence all the changes. Bank staff have been changed and I foresee branch closures as they won't keep both Caja Canaries and Caixa open in the same area. I think all the cash points have been changed, some just taken out and replaced with different coloured ones don't know why as they seemed to be working ok before their removal.

  • The new cash machine, in the lobby just before entering the banking area, is MUCH better.  No sun to make reasding the screen difficult, and it has a much larger screen with touch-screen capabilities as an extra benefit.  Furthermore, it would seem that the amount that can be withdrawn daily from your account has been increased.  Three cheers for La Caixa (pronounced 'La Casha' apparently) as the name is Catelonian.
