British Airways to TFS

  • British Airways have announced that they will be flying LGW-TFS 5 times weekly using B737 from March 2013.

    Good news?

Don't forget that EasyJet have now announced allocated seating on all flights from this month.

So price war could be good news to the Southerners among us.

  • Thanks for useful news.  Good as you say for us southerners.  Always seem to be outnumbered by northerners in LG so may help to restore a balance LOL

  • Maybe Tenerife has started to turn the corner with regard to tourist numbers. More flights can only be good.

  • Thanks for that information, Poolepirate. Hadn't heard about that. They're flying from Gatwick which is the nearest airport to us so we're very pleased. We always used to fly GB Airways until Easyjet took over so are pleased that BA have introduced these flights. As Linda says, prices & times are good, and include food/drinks & 23kg  checked luggage which is great. Have already booked for March, but will definitely look at BA next time.

  • Prices don't look that great, but they may come down - maybe. But you do get complimentary food and drinks and some decent service from staff, unlike the cheepo carriers who's staff are often rude, and seem to have little training. I guess the aircraft will be new as GB Airways passed on their planes to Easyjet when they bought the routes.

  • Bloody brilliant isn't it, they have started to fly to Alicante which made my year then I just thought I'd put in a search for Tenerife for next year as had a feeling this would happen as well and blow me down they are flying to TFS as well so it's been such fantastic new for me as I hated the cattle market on Easy Jet although as someone said they are allocating seats now but you can take 23kg with BA and also if you do end up taking extra baggage you can take an extra 23 kg for 40 quid whereas with Easyjet it's something like 10 quid PER kilo, you also get free drinks and a bit of food on BA, ahhhh you can't beat em. Well over the moon !!!
