Breadmaker

  • I am to stay for the winter again this year but cannot stand another 4 months of the local bread. The frozen English bread is not much better.

In the UK I make my own bread. I understand that strong flour and yeast can be obtained from Iceland in Los Cris.
What I need to know is where to buy a breadmaker. I love Morphy Richards but am probably expecting too much to get one of this make.

    Any Ideas for me please?

    Thanks.

  • I lovely Warbies bread at home but last time we were out we bought some bread from Dia supermarket, over the road from Tamaimo Tropicale, and it was lovely. What we didnt eat we were able to take to the fishes in the harbour and the greedy little mites enjoyed it as well.  Good luck with the bread maker.

    Roll on 30 December!!!!1

  • Thanks for the suggestions, I will follow up after the 2nd Dec.

The new supermarket you mention is deceiving, I almost missed the first floor altogether! It has some great offers and quite a few different items from the others in the area but I must say missed the bread section!

As for the fish in the harbour, I made them that fat last year!

If anyone knows of a more local electrical shop that may stock a breadmaker perhaps you could let me now. Thanks.

  • If you get the 473 to Los Olivos there is an electrical store just up from the bus stop next to BOOM. You are also then close to Hipertrebol (about 5mins walk) and they do electrical goods.

  • As usual my genuine question had a few welcome answers. But I am sorry to say that very soon (as is usual ) the replies plunged to the lowest level, that of easy and not so funny wit.

So on this occasion only, I though it right to rise to the occasion and tell that I am well bread, I do need the dough, I always loaf around, and I don't care in the yeast if you still have a go at me!

  • Yes its in the church square, top of the steps, turn right first in the corner. I think they do the bread for Juan carlos restaurant. Go early because they sell out pretty quickly. onion bread roll with a bit of bacon for breakfast, can?t beat it. They may sell some English bread, but not sure. But their?s is freshly made and lasts a lot longer then the rubbish you get in the supermarkets. Not open on a Monday
