  • I always think that your first reaction is always of horror...."Oh my god these bad people are coming to Tenerife"..........

But what must their lives be like if they are willing to risk everything to do that......?  It's very sad ....

Strange reaction.  I, and most people I know, think how sad it is that they have risked all for nothing, as there is nothing for them in Tenerife/Spain. Why would anyone think "bad people"?

  • I think most people have mixed feelings about boat people. They are all very brave  to have attempted the journey.  Most are desperate to escape poverty and provide for their families which is commendable. But they are after all illegal immigrants and  ?illegal? is usually synonymous with ?bad?.

I have just looked at the  photograph and the man fourth from the right in the blue shirt with the Losgigantes.com logo looks remarkably like Maps. Could it be that they are really XL passengers who missed their flights to Tenerife?

Maps is a remarkably resourceful character and if there is a way to get to Tenerife costing less than ?800, he is surely the man to find it.
