  • The only store Transito is keeping is the one in Calle la Vigilia. All the rest will be closing/changing hands in the near future.
I dont know if Hiper Dino will be taking them all.

  • Went to the Cardiac Hill, LG, one on Saturday.  Very cheap compared to when it was Transito.  More and better quality fruit and veg now stocked.  Deliveries starting today.  A definite improvement.

  • Went into the Dino on Cardiac Hill, LG on Monday to do a big shop and was told there were no deliveries.  They said they may be able to deliver the next day at 3pm.  This after being told last week deliveries were starting!  In fact, the new staff were not very helpful at all.  Went to Mercadona instead and had it all delivered within 2 hours of doing the shopping for 4.21 euros.  A much better experience.

  • where are they supposed to be building lidl? I am new in town  ;D. Also, which hill do you all refer to as cardiac hill? Makes me laugh, but i can think of a few that could go by that name, especially the one I walk up with my son every day.. ( no dinos on it though)

  • Starting at Playa Arena beach, walk with the coastline on your left up past apts La Riviera, keep going past Los Dragos Hotel, and start to go uphill, round Spanish Corner which is a sharp rh bend, keep climbing up past the chemist, past Verde's, past Vigilia park entrance on your right and you will come to a small island, go straight on there and then you will come to another island with a large statue of a lady with a basket of fish on her head, called Fisherwoman's island. If you turn right at that island, then after 50yds on rhs you will see development work which is the proposed Lidl site. Retracing your steps to the Fisherwoman's island, if you go straight across at the island with  Gigansol apt block on the far rh corner that is the top of Cardiac Hill

  • Thanks for the details! I live up a different cardiac hill by the church by the spanish corner! So the site which just has parking spaces right now is lidl? ( or might be sometime soon) Great, when we first came over here on september stayed at the top of cardiac hill then, in colonial parque, but had a hire car so my legs didnt moan.

  • Thank you Pilgrim, I sometimes do wonder about myself!!! Yes, the sideways on parking is where the development for Lidl may yet materialise. However, Cardiac Hill ends at the Fisherwoman's Island having started down in LG just beyond the tennis courts/bus stops, and does not go up as far as Colonial Parque.
