Mobile phone stories

  • Had quite an amusing conversation with some friends last night and I thought it may create an interesting new topic on this forum.

The subject got round to how to lose/break mobile phones.

One friend dropped her phone in a bucket of water while she was mopping the floors, phone drowned endash  dead.

Another dropped down the loo again drowned endash  dead

I claimed the best storey.  Getting off the dive boat in Los Gigs marine one day I had a lot to carry, someone distracted me and to my horror my lovely new flip top mobile disappeared between the boards of the pontoons and was lying in 3m of water!  I grabbed my mask jumped in after it.  It was immediately whisked away to the workshop, rinsed in fresh water, opened, cleaned with alcohol, dried with my hairdryer, then left overnight to fully dry.  Next morning to my surprise it worked. 2 days later I realised the battery was no good.  I bought a new battery and that phone lasted me at least another 2 years.

I am sure there are plenty other amusing stories.  Letquote s here them.

  • I wasn't amused at the time I pulled away in my car forgetting that I'd left my mobile on the roof.

A car behind me ran over it.

  • Drying your mobile in a microwave doesn't work - but the display beats Nov 5th!
One of my work colleagues told me this after his son tried this after dropping his phone into a pint of beer

On a different vein, here's one for Dolly NOT to try
