When you say "send off celebration" - do you mean a celebration of her life and achievements or a celebration due to her death ??

In any event this posting should be under the heading of "General Chat" rather than under " General Discussion" which relates solely to "all about Los Gigantes in Tenerife" - unless you are aware of Maggie having any dealings with the village !!

  • I once saw her at the Los Gigantes Hotel. She was with Sean Connery.

  • That reminds me of the story told to me by Ken Campbell at the time.
He said that when she went into the Bamboo Bar with Denis for his G & T, she asked who's bar was it,
Ken Campbell replied ''mine'', She had it closed immediately. ;D ;D

  • Given the age of many people in the village, I am sure a few were liberated and financially empowered by her 'Right to Buy' Policy. So indirectly she has had some involvement in LG.

  • I am missing the point here - where is she being sent to? Was she not buried or are her ashes being scattered somewhere?
