  • It's a nice 10 min walk down to Los Gigs, if you arn't fit you may want a taxi back.  The resort of El Marques - well I'll call upon those who have been there to answer you, or do a message board search (see search button further up the page) as there have been many comments over the years.

  • You would be walking up what is commonly known as 'Cardiac Arrest Hill '- but don't be put off by this.  It's a very nice walk down into Los Gigantes, especially on a warm evening.  You can then get a taxi back next to the Hotel Los Gigantes (the one sticking up above every other building) or do what we do and slowly walk off your meal and get a key from El Marques reception to open the gate which cuts off a big chunk of the hill.  El Marques is spotlessly clean and we have stayed in several different apartments.  Here's wishing you a lovely holiday and don't forget to check out the lovely El Meson restaurant which is on the main road just off El Marques in the opposite direction just past Vigilia Park - trust me you will love it.  If you already know the area then just ignore this message as I'm not trying to 'Teach Grandma' To Suck Eggs'!  Happy Holiday. xxx

  • An even nicer walk to Los Gigantes is by the coastal path, but probably not a good idea in the dark.  From El Marques head down the hill towards Tamaimo Tropical you will see the path sign posted just before the start of the one way system.
