THE WINEBAR

  • I would just like to tell everybody about a wonderful evening myself and my husband had last sunday at the Winebar and Terrace, this is now situated at the Harbour Club.On arrival we were seated on a settee on the lower terrace where we enjoyed a pre dinner drink listening to the pianist playing requests from the other diners, unfortunately due to the mini calima we could not watch the sunset over La Gomera but i could quite easily imagine how memorable it must be from this venue. We were then seated and had a fantastic 3 course Sunday Roast while listening to the pianist.
After 9 pm we were treated to a man called Jamie Rourke who sang Frank Sinatra,by 10pm a lot of people were dancing on the candlelit terrace,it was a perfect ending to a most enjoyable night.I would just like to congratulate the staff, owner and The Harbour Club for giving Los Gigantes a much needed injection of quality through very quiet times.
This is the first time i have posted on the website, but felt the need to let people know that through all the doom and gloom you here from business owners and resident?s if you work hard you will get your reward.
P.S. Going back to Scotland on friday tried to book in for fish and chips unfortunately fully booked.and why should?nt they be...........

  • I was very encouraged by this post as the Harbour Club has had its fair share of bashing over the years.

I always visit the Wine Bar when I vist and as it has recently been pointed out, I own at the Harbour Club, so you won't find me complaining!

Good luck to you all and I can't wait to join you on the terrace.

  • We avoided The Harbour Club after reading several reports on the hard-selling of timeshares.
Is that now a thing of the past ?

Just on that subject, Los Gigantes seems thankfully free of the usual timeshare touts with their grubby little scams. If that is due to positive action by the local council and residents...well done !

  • Estoy de acuerdo Amunette. I hope the latest post is meant in fun and not meant sarcastically. For what its worth I tend to agree with the sentiments you have expressed in other threads.

  • It is interesting to see that patsy has left the forum.

They could rejoin under another name...

There has been troll like behaviour from postings,
a personal attack rather than having a point to make.
This can also suck others in.

amunette - if you are personaly attacked again please
    bear this in mind.
