  • i dont mind paying a little extra to sit somewhere a little more upmarket, i earn my money and will choose where to spend it!  los gigantes NEEDS a classy, upmarket bar, get rid of that 'down trodden british' atmosphere and lets get the ball rolling again!  perhaps others could follow suit.....

thats if it is being 'done up'.........

  • The comments made just sum up why I very rarely post anything on this forum as the majority see it as an opportunity to have a bitching contest. My post was purely made to inform everyone that we will be closed for a month and that the reason for our closing is to have some refurbishments done, this was to curb any petty rumours that are bound to start once we do close!

  • The Green Corner is a perfect location over looking the square of Los Gigantes. Well done Jo! By closing for a month to do the place up will make it an even more enjoyable location for a pint or two. Let's hope other bars and restaurants can learn from your ideas. Will look forward to checking out the new look in August. Good luck Jo and your team.

  • I agree with Russ; well done Jo! It is great to hear that the Green Corner is undergoing refurbishments. You have one of the best terraces overlooking the church of Los Gigantes and our village can only be enhanced by such thinking. Can't wait to see the new look!!

  • Disappointed that Green Corner still closed when we were there last week (returned home 6/06), work was obviously still ongoing, looks like a major revamp. Good luck for when it does re-open.

  • Sadly the steps are still closed.  I believe that there are still on going problems raising the funds needed for the repairs to Concanasa.

  • After the sad passing away of my father I would love to hear from anyone who knew Roy Weatherhog. I've been living in Germany for the past 21 years and just want to fill in  a few blanks from the last few months........ I know he loved the green corner! If any regulars who knew him read this please drop us a line
