  • IMO some of the best food in the area is at Flor del Drago but donīt think they do T bone, their fillet is to die for.

  • The best fillet steak in this area is at Am Eck in Playa Arena (next door but one to Juan Lanas). Its not on the menu so you have to ask for it.
I've known people fly in from UK just for one of Luba's fillets!!

  • Linda do you mean El Estero ?
If you are prepared to travel a little way try Las Goteras in Tejina de Guia for a giant T Bone steak.
I reckon it must be about a fiftieth of a bull. Possible slight exaggeration.

Where is this place / I also love Veal.

    Is there a internet site

    ps.

After spending 4 hours in Luton Airport ( lovely Airport to be fair) and having a few beers, I do need a Chinese when we arrive around 8 in the evening.

We have always done this for the past 8 years ( Sweet and Sour sauce - Tenerife style is the best).

    pps

My favourite restaurant is always El Rincon de Juan Carlos - sorry to boast and only 1 visit per holiday.

All LG restaurants are special but 2nd would be the one near the posh hotel Barcelo - to see the sun set in the evening.

    Can't remember the name

    What is the taxi cost

Do you have to pre book the steak ( pre order it)

Is this what you're looking for ?

  • Blimey Knightrider - have you got worms !!! - that's a hell of a steak, but pray tell me what is that green thing on your plate to the right of the meat - if you click on the meal and get a magnification it looks like either a chrysalis or something unmentionable !!

A friend of mine had what she described as a mammoth and tastey T bone steak at the Astaurius Restaurant in the square in LG, having said that I had a meal there which was fine but Mrs Kids meal was awful

  • The green thing you refer to kid, is a 5 inch grilled green pepper. (it's what local restaurants call ''verduras'')
I have no idea what they taste like cos after devouring the steaks, i have never had any room left to eat one.
After the meal i asked the Chef how thick his meat was before being readied. He proudly said it was a 5cm thick piece of prime Canarian Beef.
We go there quite often but sometimes the wife likes to go on her own or with girlfriends so they can share it.

  • How can the meal be good if you have to avoid the TINNED veg, how lazy is that, there are so many fruit & veg places to buy fresh. This place used to be good but now it's awful, I had a terrible meal there and so did the rest of our crowd.

  • Thought we were unlucky at Asturias when I couldn't eat my grey foul smelling fish.
When I complained the waiter gave a shrug and walked away!!! never again

You are quite right there Jodie - the vegetables served in Asturias are the worst i've ever had in my life - I and a good few fellow diners left theirs - I wonder why the chef/management haven't got the message yet

  • Restaurante Las Goteras is in Tejina de Isora,  Not Tejina de Guia.  Its about 30 mins drive, on the main road between Guia de Isora and Adeje. Taxi would be about 15 euros one way, but the food is great including the massive T bones ( Chuleton de Novillo ) in spanish.  Definitely need to book first  922857056
    Hope you enjoy.
