  • I just thought I would let you all know that when we were at the new Amazona bar in San Francisco, that they have a telescope that you can use.

Its the first time that we have seen the craters on the moon so clearly . if you have never seen it through a good telescope, you wont belive your eyes !!!

    all the best

  • The night sky in and around Los Gigs is superb for checking out the moon and it's craters, Satellites constellations and if you are lucky shooting stars.  Hubby and I always take our binoculars on holiday for this purpose and because the sky is usually so clear of a night there is no need for a telescope.

  • how right you are leigh, myself and lady wags very often sit on our balcony looking up at the stars with a nice glass of wine each. Then along comes one of the 50cc motorbikes and spoils the moment

  • Hello Leigh and Wags,

Binoculars , if you have a good pair, are quite good for looking at the moon, but a telescope will give you much more detail and also will allow you to see the rings on Saturn, which binoculars wont.

The night sky was excellent when we were there, highly recommended for star gazers.

    all the best
