  • Have just returned from Los Gigantes which we have frequented on a few occasions. We have always tried to find new places to eat in Los Gigantes and this time we feel we have found a little gem, the restaurant has a good ambience, the people who run it are very pleasant and polite, the food is excellent and varied and the portions are ample. The owners are Jackie and Clive and they make you very welcome.
The restaurant is located close to Archers and Yates and the steps down to La
    Bodeguita. Well worth a try.

  • Don't mean to put a dampener on things but the last time we went there 3 out of 4 of us got the trotts! Also it's too pink! If you've been there you'll know what i mean!

  • Yes, there is always someone to run a good review down. Mistingette is an old, favorite established restaurant. We have been many times, and friends always go, I have never heard a bad report from them.
Clive and Jackie having a well earned break soon

  • sorry to air my view on a negative note BUT we had an awful meal there and it is so dated and pink!!! and I got charged 6.5euros for the smallest bottle of  wine I have ever seen!! it didn't fill a small wine glass !! Clive was in a flap cos there were about 12 people in and I found him miserable and unhelpful - having said that friends of ours love the place, I can't see the appeal.

  • Foods good, but don't sit outside!!!  Noisy air conditioning over your head and I had to keep going inside to get missing glasses, cutlery, etc.  We were ignored and the food got cold.  Otherwise, inside the food and service is excellent, despite Clive's flapping.

  • We have been coming to LG for many years now and always go to the Mistinguett at least once per visit. Can honestly say i have never seen Clive flap! We have always had a really nice meal there, it's one of the few places in LG you can get fresh veg.

We were in LG during half term and it was the quietest we have ever known it. Usually we enjoy our nights out - we usually have a look at how busy a place is as the atmosphere is so important and that's what generally 'makes' the evening for us. As it was, we eat in more than we have ever done before as it seemed pointless to go out just to sit in a restaurant practically on our own! Sad to say that after each year becoming more and more quiet (and lets be honest....boring) we are going to choose somewhere completely different for our main hols next year. The place has so many great features - the tourist office isn't doing their job though!!

  • Is this down to the fact that "LOS GIGANTES" like most of the Cannaries have lost their charm or is it to the fact that service with a smile cost's a small fortune and food that lacks panache????????

  • We've been to mistinguett's many of time's always go once a week on our two week break 2 or 3 time's a year, never had a bad meal there
Going back to Billi 161 post normal restaurant food steak's very good veal, lamb, chicken and fish not sure about the veggie option i am not one so i have never noticed.  A three course meal will set you back about 30 to 35 euros plus drinks, It is a bit pink in colour but you do not eat the decor. I have always found Clive and Jackie helpful and pleasant in fact i took Mrs maps there for her fortieth birthday ask Jackie for flower's and a cake most helpful if they read this they may know who we are. The only change i have notice over the years is that the waitress wears more clothes now.

We've also found jaun carlos linda we go to both.
