  • Hi, looking ahead.. we are thinking of coming to Tenerife Los Gigantes for Newyear 2007. Would anyone be able to tell me what its like at this time of year events avail, weather etc..? My son will be six so events will need to be as childfriendly as possible. We recentley went to Las Americas and found it rather busy ::) so we're hoping this time for more of an 'authentic' experience.

  • hi   have stayed in los gigs last three new years i am sure you will find weather agreeable  the village hosts a new years eve party in the square   this features a samba band and can last until breakfast  more suitable for your 6 year old is three kings day on the evening of 5 jan the three kings arrive by camel they then hand out presents to all the children from the stage  the kids faces are a joy to see

  • Totally agree - its brilliant at New Year. We've been last four and intend on coming out this year too. This year was the first time we have ever seen the Three Kings celebration and I thought it was magical. Weird after New Year for us but lovely. On New Years eve during the night/morning into the early hours I had a wee dress on and wasnt cold. Is great - you'll love it. Busy but not too busy

  • This will be my 7th year in LG for Christmas and New Year. As the previous writers mentioned about the Three Kings and the new eve party in the square is absolutely fabulous, great atmosphere. I've already booked up. Get your flights as soon as because they will go up so quick after March

  • Now counting the weeks before we come out on 28th December to celebrate  New Year in Los Gigantes square.   Have tried New Year celebrations in other parts of the world and to be honest Los Gigantes is by far the best.

  • We are coming out for 3 weeks from 19 December - 8 weeks and counting.

We have only missed twice in the last 12 years and wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world
