  • I've been and wasn't impressed, waited an age for our food and there were only about 8 people dining BUT (yet again - no consistency) my friend is a regular visitor there and has never had a bad meal.

Why don't you try the tapas bar El Botijo, they also do 'specials' like steak and fish, we've never had a bad meal there and we've been at least a 1/2 doz times. The staff are really friendly and will talk you through the menu, some things are quite unusual. The other week for example the special was snails in garlic (which you don't see very often here) - i've tried lots of things there that I would have never tried before.

  • Yes thanks for that we?ve considered El Botijo for a tapas meal but always thought of it as a lunch time meal. and B&D?s food guide says it is only open in the evenings, is that correct ?

We are looking for somewhere new to try I know the menu of most places off by heart now

  • hi maps,

i have been to Salzburg on numerous occasions and have never had a bad meal there.  When we are over we usually give the restaurant a visit about 3 - 4 times in a two week period.

I would recommend Meco's at Sunflowers in El Varadero.  The food is fab and Meco is a lovely man. He can't do enough for you.....

    Hope find this helpful.
