  • hey poole pirate!!

it'll be dead handy for balcon, just think all your dreams could come true, we'll all be sat there (the ones of us that havent drowned cos you did warn us about the lifeguard), buildings falling down around our ears, no rental income to help pay our mortgages, at least we'll be able to get a bag of chips without walking too far..... shoe leather may be a bit scarce by then..... ;)

  • dont worry about shoe leather - we'll leave a pair of communal flip flops by the pool or just get them to lower the chips down by bucket !!!

  • Hello RoyL,
Called in a couple of nights ago. The medium Cod and chips were OK however at  8 Euro's 50c and  1 Euro 50c for the Mushy Peas it was rather expensive. When you added the IGIC which was an extra it made it even more so.  To be fair it is certainly worth giving it a try.

  • Thanks for that Edward Bear. Glad to hear it is now open. I suppose it is a tad expensive for fish and chips by Tenerife standards, however personally I dont mind paying a bit more if the quality and service is good. Cod is very expensive at the moment in the UK due to the quota system. Most places around here seem to be serving Haddock.

  • They serve Haddock too at the same price. The boss had Haddock and she said it was OK.

  • Janey,

I'm not entirely sure whether Mr Gray would have approved of fish 'n chips. Like Sebastian he had exceedingly high standards !!!

What would we do without the Mr Gray's of this world ?

I enjoy El Meson (sorry Seb) but I don't know if I would be tempted by Fryers. I will ponder long and hard during the Winter months.
