  • The Folk night at Tajinaste WILL be held this Friday 4th Sept

Restaurant opens at 7pm  Music starts around 9.30pm

How to get to Tajinaste restaurant:-
A taxi from Los Gigantes is around ?3.50 and the restaurant owner will call a return taxi for you.

By car:- From Los Gigantes Police/Fire station follow up the hill on the Tamaimo road for aprox 1km. Turn right into the village of La Caldera (there is no sign post) go past the laundry and turn left after the little church. Follow the very narrow road until you come to a fork in the road (aprox 1km). Fork right. Here you will see a small car park and the restaurant.

  • Had to let Paul know - Cushy Butterfield has been sighted in Santander !!  Yes, it's true, there we were quietly towing our caravan round Santander on our summer travels, came to an island and there she stood in all her glory.  Fame travels far and wide.

Sorry we won't be with you again till November but will keep an eye out for Cushy on our travels through Galicia. regards angie and ian

  • Hi Dolly . is there any chance you can speak with the folk club crowd and ask them to start at 8.30 as 9.30 is a bit late for a lot of people. I know al lot of people have said it is too late a start for them at 9.30. We know these guys work full time during the day and it is difficult but an earlier start would be good for most of the clients. Do your best. Becuase it is a show not to be missed.

9.30 is perfect, last time  we  had a meal, was finishing the meal off when it all started
great timing. i don't  want to be going for my meal at 6.30 just to please you

  • I am not your "sweety, thank god, and I was not asking for me only but for several people that no longer go because it starts late. I will not respond in future to any more of your unpleasantness.

  • Thanks Chrissie for your comments. Will keep you posted of any more sightings !!  All good fun.  Your query re starting time is perfectly reasonable and very politely put.  Why is there a need to sarcastically reply I wonder ?  I understand your thoughts but I guess as you say if the two 'stars' work all day then by the time they get home, eat, shower etc, it's getting on a bit. Take care angie

  • Thanks Angie for your nice comments. The Cushy Butterfield joke is so much fun and she seems to be popping up everywhere. Perhaps we should start a list of sightings across Sp?in and the Canaries with exact locations. All those that travel across Spain, keep your eyes open for her. We have our own here in the form of our dear Patti Pope and the one at the top of Cardiac Hill which I believe Pattie named.
