  • Do they serve up the freshly cooked meals more quickly now?
We gave up when the sides of 'hand cut' chips reduced to an 'ash tray' sized dish of fried wedges.......and the 'couldn't care less' attitude.....that plus the slow service was the last straw.

I used to love the Fishermans but the incredibly slow service....ok it's freshly cooked.....but it is slow..... and then the cost cutting on the side orders was the final insult.
    We haven't been back since.

It is such a shame when local businesses take the preverbial!!

We try to support the local businesses but at the end of the day we aren't a charity!!

the previous chef cooked everything from scratch (we have had this thread before) and the food was excellent - but it did take a long time to materialise.  1 bottle of wine could soon become 2!!  at least she didnt shop at iceland!!!!!!!!

back to original question - is this restaurant still open? can a local please pop in and inform the board......

  • Has it actually changed hands then...I know it was up for sale for the past 12 months. We would certainly try it again  under new management.
I appreciate that to cook from fresh does take that little bit extra time but even with a booking the wait was 1.5 hrs minimum.

Sorry but this is unreasonable....yes the view is spectacular...... and the food was excellent...when it arrived.....the wait was too long even for 'freshly cooked'....sorry Julie but those were Iceland wedges on the last visit.....!!!

  • The new owners whoever they are have exactly the same menu and prices.

You would not know that there had been a change.

Same warning about the food being cooked from scratch and shawls etc.
