  • I?m quite surprised that no bars or cafes in the area has thought of doing them, her friends have just come back from main land Spain  and told her how popular they were

I believe you when you say that there is 7,000 calories per portion you should see the size of her friends

  • In the winter months their is always a mobile one in Guia De Isora,  but all year round there is a permanent one just the other side of Icod, travelling from LG, on the left hand side(sea side), around the place where they sell fuit from a stall on the right hand side. Sorry no name, but never took much notice!!! Lovely churros though...mmmmmm!!

  • Have you ever been to a traditonal British Fairground?  Have you ever had doughnuts from a Farirground?  Do you remember whilst in the queue watching how they made the doughnuts?  ...Churros are made in a very similar way.. a thick, doughy solution is poured into extremeley hot oil and cooked.. in a type of Yorkshire Pudding/Pancake  type way.  Same type of mixture, lots of heat and oil!  I would think for any bar to maintain this type of machine during the whole of the day would be a)not cost effective b)hot and sticky c)against the cultural law of the land!

  •  you can buy frozen ones in mercadona,  i know they are not the same as getting them fresh, but they are ok and it saves you becoming a fiesta groupie
