  • I think you will find that most local restaurants will be having a special christmas day menu and I know that Tajinaste Restaurant have already produced their menu's for Christmas Day and New Years Eve with all the details including price per person which they have issued to everyone on their mailing list. If you e mail      fredandglynis@gmail.com   I know they will be only too happy to e mail you their menu's. They have already firm bookings. This restaurant is out of the village but is very rustic and has a great terrace and atmosphere and is only about 4 euros in a taxi. However, as I said I am sure over the next few weeks many of the restaurants in the village of Los Gigantes will be advertising what they have on offer.  Most restaurants though start their celebrations in the afternoon.  I am sure whatever you choose you will have a really good Christmas day to remember.

  • Yes it has closed down. Most english run restaurants , serving traditional Christmas Day fayre  and festivities are booked up in advance. If that is what you want you need to book your table before you come out. if you are arriving very close to Christmas Day. Chinese on Christmas Day ??? Well its different, I'll say that, but these restaurants tend not to be pre booked and there are two in Los Gigantes, both very good.

  • I suppose another option is to buy the wife a Turkey to wrestle with on Christmas day, though I feel only one thing will get stuffed if I do!!  ;)
