  • I found this bar by mistake, I was on my own & the bar was selling Magners Cider at only 3? per pint. I stopped & the friendly staff chatted & made me feel very welcome. I had a homemade burger & homemade chips, it was excellent. I went back again for one of the chili burgers. The lady running the bar remembered me after only one visit & explained that it had only recently been reopened. The price of the food was very reasonable & I would like to recommend the food for anyone on a budget.

  • I can definitely recommend the kippers for breakfast and I think it's the only place in LG where we found porridge on the menu

  • If you go there, dont get it and the ocean drive  cafe /bar mixed up. as they are next door to each other, a lot of people think its all one bar /cafe . I think that ocean drive is the better of the two.

  • I think Ocean Drive is a lot better than Bar Calypso.

The friendly staff really help make the place a good stop off point.

It was better when they sold ice cold Dorada on draught than that Estrella stuff.
