Beach Club

  • We dropped in to the Beach Club at San Francisco for lunch last week and enjoyed it so much that we went back later in the week (Friday) for dinner.  I was very pleased with my Dover sole but Mrs T thought her fillet steak was a bit dry and strongly flavoured. Also, she didn't appeciate having cabbage as an accompanying veg (steak, chips and cabbage???).  However, the big dissapointment (for the staff and management as well, I'm sure) was that there was only one other couple there when we left around 9 pm so there was absolutely no atmosphere.  Please tell me this is unusual as we would definitely only go back in the evening if there was some activity.  The service was exceptionally good until pudding time, when they apparently got bored and forgot about us.

  • juan i have just had an exceptional meal with incredible service at a new restaurant the fillet steak wellington that i had was incredible and my husband tried ostrich steak very unusual served with boletus mushrooms and a variety of fresh veg and a choice of potatoes the service was excellent right down to the flabee bananas cooked at the table! only tried the house wine but it was excellent if you want a good meal and excellent service then i can recommend Bolero in pidra hincadra only been open a week or so and the staff did not forget us at all right down to a complementary apppetiser and a chupito when we finished. we will certainly go back even if is only to enjoy seeing the staff in traditional romera costume.
