  • i think we need a new, classy bar that isnt ran by kids under 21, that has live music a few nights a week, but sparing us the old regular acts, maybe some 'new to us' acts could find it worth their while to come up from adeje / san eugenio or thereabouts.... and bring a bit of new life into the area.  someone who can get a bit of atmosphere going..... i'm sure it would be worthwhile especially from the 'tills' point of view....

  • There are several bars in and around Los Gigantes where you can go for a quiet chat, several on the Marina for a start.  Oasis bar is a lovely place for a drink and chat (through the day only) so is the Lido bar.  There is also that place down the stairs next to Yates, but we arn't suposed to mention it!  Going back to my early days here the bar at Poblado (next to the reception) was the place, not been there for a while not sure what it is like now.  If I dare mention Puerto Santiago and playa Arena, again many bars offer the chance of a quiet chat over a drink.  A favourite of mine always has been Franziskana (don't know how it's spelt!) the German bar next to Angelo's furniture shop in Playa Arena.

Look around the area surely there is enough variety to suit everyone but we must remember that the priority of all bars is to cater for the tourists.  If we don'b4t like it then take a trip to any of the Spanish villages and sample things Canarian style, it's very nice for a change.
