A wine Bar in Tenerife - surely not

  • Hi all you fellow residents, (and holiday makers who like to travel) feel like checking out some wines, without getting ripped off??

You could do a lot worse than try out the Tapas Cafe El LLANO as it is called at the beach corner of the square in Alcala.

Tastefully decorated and run by a very friendly couple from Argentina, Fabian and his sister Elsa, it has wines from Italy, France, Australia, South Africa, Chile, Spain and Argentina.  In addition they serve "home cooked" food with a difference, although for you Brits who can't eat without chips, they do those too!!  Sorry, they don't do a Sunday Roast  ::) ::)

  • Just a reminder to all those interested, this place is still doing good business, particularly with residents like me and many "swallows".  Fabian and Elsa would welcome more of the adventurous type holiday makers who are looking for something that bit different from standard British fayre.  Go on give it a try :) :) :)

  • Have been there on quite a few occasions. The owners are lovely people who really try to oblige.
Suggest you give them a try and judge for yourselves.
