The Professional Association of Taxi Drivers of Santiago del Teide was founded in the early 1960s and at that time there were only two cars. The association now has 34 vehicles which are equipped for any eventuality that the customer requires. There are two vehicles adapted for handicapped clients, and several of the vehicles have seating capacity for 7, 8 and 9 adults.

The association covers the whole of the Santiago del Teide municipality from Santiago del Teide town down to Tamaimo, Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago and Playa de la Arena
