Carnival 2004: Carnival's all over for another
year with the death of the Sardine 8th March 2004. The 2004 carnival
was a shining example, well run, well attended, and most important of
all everyone had fun! Thanks should go to the local police who kept everything
in order whilst still managing to remain human!. The Bomberos (Firemen),
Ambulance volunteers, Comittee members, the local authority, EVERYONE
who made an effort to dress up or took part in some other way. Below we
have chosen some of our favourite "moments" from Carnival and

Junior Candidates

Saturday 7th february. The Candidates for Carnival Queen - both Adullt and Children were presented to the public on Saturday 7th February at the Square in Los Gigantes. There are 9 adult hopefuls and also 9 junior candidates and only one from each category will finally be chosen at the Election Gala to be held on the 5th March in the Plaza Los Gigantes. There will be entertainment in the form of a comic called Jaime Marrero,and the singers Alejandro y Miguel Ángel Rodríguez y el Ballet Aranzazu. Tickets, price 20 euros including dinner are available from the Town Hall. The Spectacle starts at 9 pm. |
